Classic Traveller at traveller.tre.systems is run by Total Reality Engineering. It creates Classic Traveller characters and keeps shared character sheets and dice rolls for games written in Google Docs.
Characters in your browser
Characters you create are saved in your browser's storage. They are not sent to the server unless you add them to a game. Clearing your browser's site data deletes them; use Export file to keep a copy.
Google sign-in
Games need a Google sign-in. Google gives us your name, email address and a stable account identifier, which we store only as a one-way hash. We ask for no other Google data and cannot read your Google Docs, Drive or Gmail. We do not keep Google's access or refresh tokens. A signed cookie keeps you signed in for 30 days; a second cookie lasts ten minutes during sign-in. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.
Games
A game stores its name, Google Doc link, location and date; the character sheets added to its cast; its dice rolls with their names, reasons and notes; and the name and email of each signed-in player who joined it. Everyone in a game can see all of this, including other players' names and emails. Opening a game's link while signed in joins that game, so share links only with your group.
Hosting and logs
The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes requests, including IP addresses, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Request logs are kept for a few days to diagnose problems. Google processes your sign-in. We do not sell or share your data with anyone else.
Keeping and deleting data
Games are kept until they are deleted. A game's creator can remove players from it. To delete a game or your details from a game, email privacy@tre.systems with the game's link. You can also ask what we hold about you or have it corrected.
